FAQ

A workflow automates the process of performing a series of tasks. It can be used to automate repetitive processes or complex business workflows that are too time-consuming for humans to perform manually.
We use Airtable as a central source of truth for workflow automations, designed to help you manage and execute your company’s business processes in an automated way.
A workflow process can be designed for almost any business process allowing you to:
Reduce manual processes
Increase efficiency by reducing errors
Improve communication with customers/clients
Ensure compliance requirements are met
Provide transparency into your business operations
Make sure you have all the information needed at hand when making decisions
Help manage projects better
Automation can be used for many different things but typically falls into one of two categories:
Automate repetitive processes
Reduce manual workflows
In both cases, you are trying to reduce human error by automating something that would otherwise require someone’s time by using workflow management software.
By using a workflow automation platform, such as Airtable you get real-time visibility into every aspect of your business, including individual tasks to see where bottlenecks occur, what steps take too long, which tasks require additional training, and who needs help with certain activities.
Automating manual tasks significantly reduces the chance of human error, allowing software tools like Airtable and Zapier to complete repetitive tasks.
Let's say we want to create a new customer record on our CRM system. We need to enter some basic data about them, this could include their name, email address, phone number, etc before we can send them an invoice.
Using Airtable automations we would :
Allow the customer to fill their information out on a form,
Automatically save that information into your CRM and your finance software, Quickbooks, Xero etc
At the same time automatically grab the invoice information from your sales system
Create the invoice for you to approve then click send to have it automatically emailed to your client
This type of automation takes all the manual work out of the process, removing the need for human resources and replacing with workflow automation processes. Not only does this provide a better customer experience but it also creates a process improvement for your staff.
Airtable works like an online spreadsheet but gives you the power of a database to organize anything.
We will design a workflow for your requirements in mind, in most cases other software is connected to Airtable but it remains the source of truth in your business. Providing your team with a single source of truth for your business while automating mundane tasks.
